Surgery was tuesday, home yesterday afternoon on schedule.  I've had a great deal more pain than others seem to have reported but I know it will all be worth it in the end.  The important thing is that I'm able to move around.

I was able to meet another OH member in the hospital (hi Cathy!) which was lovely but I'm sorry I missed you Monica!

Thank you everyone for the support and messages; I've really appreciated it.

Cheers,
Pam

I don't know if this will help...and maybe that's why it's not reported - I was in a lot of pain. I had a hard time getting my medication under control, but I think that may be a pattern.

FOR ME IT IS/WAS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the best!

That absolutely helps; all I have seem to have read is people saying how they didn't need pain meds outside of the hospital and had very little pain after the first two days out.  I felt like I must be a wimp or something lol.  I know that everyone's pain sensitivies are different though but I was feeling like my experience must be out of the ordinary.  Thank you for sharing!

Welcome home :)

By the way, I felt like I'd been hit by a Mack truck for about a week and took all my prescription meds.  Everyone is different.  Speedy recovery! :)
