Monica, this is kind of a random question. I love eggs in the morning - so breakfasty! - but I'm trying to find a way to have more protein without having to eat a whole lot more than 1 egg. Voila! Your egg + egg white solution. My question comes when I start to wonder what you do with the leftover yolk. I live alone and would hate to waste an egg yolk. Do you maybe buy egg white in a carton and use that?
Leanne, I hope things are resolved for you, one way or another, soon.

yeah!!! it only adds 16 calories and 6 (7?) grams of protein. I just separate my egg, the old fashioned way. I like to eat things as naturally and unprocessed as i can. I toss the left over yolk, it's no good to me. If you have a pet, you can fry it up and give it to them, or just raw if you prefer, its good for their coat. You can save it and use it to make custard or something.
Make a custard! HAHAHA. I am so far away from making a custard you wouldn't believe - I can barely make a boxed cake without screwing that up!
Unfortunately, my dog lives with my parents (she's a family dog, not **my** dog), and even if she was here at school with me, she is on a very strict diet of 2/3 cup of kibble 2x a day ONLY. No treats. NONE. Apparently bulldogs gain weight very easily - even the French variety.
6-7 extra grams of protein though - that might be worth just tossing out the extra yolk. Thanks for the advice!!
