Caffeine clarification

Hi all,

Have my surgeon appt on Monday at St. Joe's w/ Dr. Gmora. I have been alcohol, carbonation and caffeine free since january as recommended. My concern is that at times I have consume chocolate and the occasional iced tea. Will this be a know against my progress or my stomach?

I guess I didn't think much of it cuz optifast and post surgery shakes all come in chocolate flavour- until I looked up some values online (acc. to Hershey canada reese pb cup is 5mg caffeine)

Worried I've jeopardized an otherwise perfect trip to WLS.

 I think they generally are referring to every day use of Coffee tea and pop.   They don't want you to have to deal with withdrawal after surgery. I don't think you have anything to worry about.    

yeah, the occasional chocolate and iced tea hardly count as caffeine intake. You're doing really well.

I think you'll be fine. They're more worried about cafeine, smoking, alcohol. I had the occasional treat and they didn't ask about that. You're in good hands.
