Stalled at 3 weeks...

I'm 31/2 weeks post-op and stalled.  I was trying to convince myself that I was not stalled, but I know I am.  The scale has not changed since the end of last week.  I have lost 50 lbs since I started opti-fast and I should be over the moon, but I'm scared that I'm doing something wrong.  I've got the go ahead to start swimming again, which I am going to do starting Monday.  Tomorrow I'm going to renew my membership and I really hope that helps move me past this stall.
I'm hoping to gain some reassurance here...any words that might help would be very nice.
Thank you.

Hi there, a  stall at week three is very, very common.  Almost inevitable.  Go to the search section above and type in stall at three weeks.  You will start losing again,, no worries!

A 'stall' .. err. more like a pause for your body to catch up - is pretty common about the three week point after surgery. I promise you follow the plan and you'll keep losing.
Sometimes the best support  you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.

Breathe, the stall is totally normal.

If you did a search on stall, many on here have had the same fear.

Totally normal and the weight will continue to come off.

breathe again.

My surgery was Feb. 2 and I stalled at about 4 weeks and it lasted 3 but once it ended I dropped 11  pounds in 10 days and it keeps going.  Down almost 65 since the start of this crazy trip.  Don't worry about it... it will start again once you body knows you are not starving it.

Yep, I had a stall or pause at 3 weeks. It is so common you can almost say it's inevitable.

I too am stalled and i am 3 weeks out. I dont own a scale...which is maybe a good idea for now as i would have been out of my mind and weighing every second lol. I can feel that i have not lost...the weight was coming off so fast at the beginning. It almost feels as my skin is shrinking to fit my smaller body if that makes any sense. So you are not alone and I have been feeling alittle unsure if i have been doing something wrong.

I stalled also and it was upsetting but it is good to know there are lots of people who have experienced it also. once the stall breaks the weight will drop off!
take care!!

A few days without the scale moving is not a stall.  I have been at the same weight for almost 5 weeks...that's a stall.  Don't weigh every day, it will drive you crazy.  Trust me!  I'm there now! LOL

I hit my first stall at week 2. try switching things up a bite. Try increaing your protein, make sure drinking enough water. Eat a little more. Sometimes increasing your intake will get things moving again. I found I would stall for a few weeks then overnight drop 5 lbs. Hangin there the scale will move again.
