So i have been reminded of the importance of listening to our bodies. I was out friday night with friends dancin, water only for me, at about 3 am i mentioned to one of them that something felt "popped" jus below my xyphoid process. This commenced into dis comfort to pain by sunday morning which woke Me up. Off to bgh i went at 6 am.......8 hourS later.....nothing comes back on any testz. So the doc makes me a copy and tells me to call guelph on monday. So audrey calls me back and tells me to drive over to guelph to see doc foute nelong. He cant find anything on the ctscan so suggests exploratory surgery. While in looking around apparently he found and depaired a leak. So if anyone is in guelph today or are already here drop by on your walk 660.

Thanks guys..I hope whatever he did corrected whatever was wrong. Did not get out of surgery till 1130pm ish so will not know details till I speak to him. Just know what the nurses told me was in his reports. I originally expected my funny popping feeling and the pain I was experiencing were unrelated and for them to Be telling me I needed my gall bladder out. It however is perfectly healthy. The pain ran along my rib cage both ways radiating to my back. the doc thought he might find a hernia he would need to repair. But once i find out where the leak was and what might have caused it i will not do it again....and will tell so others can avoid it. Whatever it is...

Okay. Monica you are brilliant. Just spoke to the doc it is not a leak they repaired. It was something to do with the connection between the the 2 sections of bowel that he repaired. Said sometimes it presents after surgery from significant weight loss. I still consider my recovery to be text book.
