Hmmm heating up

So I have noticed when I drink my protien after a half hour or so my temperature goes up. I've noticed this because I get sweaty. I'm taking 2 different kinds of protein and it's not an allergic reaction.

I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed this, or am I just a bit weird (as usual)?

I guess you're just weird. Only kidding. Don't know what I am talking about, actually! I'm still preop and struggling through the Opti.

I hadn't heard of it either, so I thought I'd ask. I'll ask at my first appointment Tuesday if this is normal.

So... the protein shakes get you hot do they?

This  Changes  Everything!!! lol I couldn't help it.

Seriously, unless your temperature goes up significantly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You feeling hot doesn't mean you are in distress. Maybe record your usual temp before you take your protein shake and then again after when you are feeling these effects in a journal for a week or two and take it into your doctor to see what they make of it.

Could it be that you are drinking it too quickly?

It happens whether I take 2 hours to finish the protein drink or half an hour of sipping it down, no matter how big the drink is or how cold so far. Good idea tho

how much carbohydrates are there in the drink?  How much sugar?  It sounds like a mini dumping episode.  Do you have any other symptoms.

I just feel hotter, no other symptoms. No rush to the bathroom for anything.

Quite frequently after eating if I eat to fast or something even a bit to high in fat or carbs I ge that warm feeling.

It usually passes in 10 - 15 minutes.
