Back from my Vacation in Northern Algonquin

It was so much fun.
I found the hiking even easier than in the past (even at my heaviest I walked a lot) and the hills did not rob me of breath.
We were at the Brent Campground, 2 sites side by side with a private sandy beach. It's also the site of the Brent Crater, a meteorite site. It's on Cedar lake.
I brought my new kayak ( a reward for the weight loss). We saw a moose in the marsh and Golden eagles at the lower Petawawa River. My family met there from points a far.

Sounds like it was a fabulous vacation, Heather! Of course, with a landscape like Algonquin Park, how could you go wrong?! I love the pic of you and the pups - are they all yours? I'm a huge dog-lover & my Golden Retreiver always went up north with us - she was crazy about the lake!. Glad you had fun & the hiking was no problem - I can't wait!!!

Hi Deb,
Yup. All 3 of them are mine (and DH's). They all have life jackets too. Just after that pic was taken the big dog decided to jump in for a swim. She goes right under and I wait anxiously for her to pop up. The life jacket brought her back up sooner than she planned, but it gave me a nice handle to pull her back up onto the rock with.
