Orientation Baby!!!!

 I got my letter!!! I am so pumped!  Thursday October 25th! Doing a happy dance!  

 Congratulations and good luck with the opti, I bought a cup with a lid and straw as some posts say it helps cant hurt to try.

 Does orientation mean it's your first appointment or that you got a surgery date I think I might have made an error but if I did still congrats and the cup still a good plan I think the smiley face means I feel a bit embarrassed about the error or at least I hope that's what it means

 It's the orientation session, no surgery date yet but its getting closer!  I appreciate the advice on the opti, I'll try to remember when I do get to that stage!  Thank u!!  

 I'm computer challenged and new so thanks.  My orientation was really informative I only wished I was bold enough to have asked more questions.  I had mine in Thunder Bay back in may.

 What are the waiting times in Thunder Bay like?  Where will your surgery be?  Guess it'll be soon for u if you're already on opti?  This is a great forum btw, great bunch of people who can help u on your journey. I have been thinking about WLS for a while and when I made my decision back in January found this site and Ontario forum, it has helped me immensely. I was quite green in regards to the whole process etc and now am quite hopeful for my journey towards a healthier me!

 I'm not on opti yet just getting ready and excited.  The wait time could be up to a year still right now Thunder Bay folks are sent to Hamilton.  Apparently they are trying to hire a doctor but are having difficulty.  I live in a small city that's is about 16 hours drive from Toronto but its is incredible beautiful and I can not understand why more folks do not choose the more peaceful life.  Even the winters are not so harsh any more.  Anyway if we get a doctor well surgeon then the wait time will move quick but I best not get to hopeful yet.

I too will also be at that orientation in Guelph!!

 How long have u been waiting?  My kids were laughing at me when I opened the letter, was literally jumping all around, just think what I will be like when I get my surgery date!!! 

My referral was sent in on Feb29th/12.

I had called Guelph that day to ask what month they were at, she said that she just sent out letters to people in Jan...I said yay, I was going to get my letter soon, but when I got home there was my letter!!!!

I just hope that it's not going to be another 12 months until surgery!!!
