Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but, I was at costco last night and the Wellesse liquid calcium was on sale. Thought I'd get some since I'd imagine getting calcium pill supplements down immediately post op might be difficult.

Thanks I love sale updates esp. from Costco.

You could grind up your pills for a while and then split them in half.

I bought the Wellesse and it's not bad at first. Kind of tastes like orange baby aspirin. I did find myself struggling to finish the bottle though. Worth a try.

That is a good idea calcium pills are so big.  I love Costco they save me so much money and they sell good  quality items.  We go to London once a month and buy for the month.  My husband was paid monthly so we got used to doing the bulk of our shopping on a monthly basis.  We do go out occaisionally to buy fruit and milk.  We've not been able to stop the habit of buying for the month.  When is your surgery?  Good luck and a speedy recovering.  The most exciting part is to start seeing the pounds drop off.  I am excited for you.  I am in the beginning stages I have just had my request for surgery sent in by my Dr.. Best wishes.

It was recommended to me by TWH to take the Caltrate Soft Chews with Vit D in them.  They are super easy to take small bites of and swallow.  I take one after lunch and dinner, like dessert !

Just incase you were not loving the idea of liquid.

Hmmm... aren't the Caltrate chews carbonate instead of citrate?

I just got my box and they say Calcium Carbonate 1500mgs providing elemental calcium 600 mgs and vitamin D 10mcg/400IU

That's not good ?  Why would TWH say to take those ?

Not sure why they would, but we better absorb citrate.

Thanks for stepping in. Is the liquid from Costco a citrate? I have only been able to find it in the huge pills.
