help please
My first few weeks out, I also felt hungry and thought something was wrong. I am now 4 months out and don't feel as hungry as I was. I read somewhere on this forum that the first few weeks after surgery your stomach is recovering from nerve damage and it needs time to heal. For me even through I am not as hungry as I was just after surgery, I can eat more then most people it seems. I have read that half of a small chili from Wendy's fills people up. I eat a full small chili and a cheese stick or two before I feel full. I just try to do my best and follow my diet to the best of my ability. I have lost almost 60 pounds in 4 months. Not as much as some people, but I am good with it. Good luck ![]()
it will happen.. do you know if your reminent tummy is grumbling or your pouch? at my nutrition class the NUT told me to expect my OLD stomach to growl that it will stop doing that eventually but that it is just getting used to the new configuration... If it is your new pouch then feed it... how much are you eating at a time? my understanding is Breakfast, snack, lunch , snack,, dinner, snack? so maybe in between meals have a cheese string or some cottage cheese, or some greek yogert?

I read that you are having 60 grams of protein. When I had follow up with the dietician from Ottawa she sugegsted aiming for 90grams a day. That could help you feel fuller?!?
