So it sounds like we have interest. Perhaps it would be easier at this point if you are okay with it to pm me your email. The coffee shop on Broadview above Gerrard seemed to be popular. I would suggest the week starting January 14th as the first time. Any days not good for people? I know some people are going to Karen's lunch on the 19th.
I have surgery on January 10th, any chance we can start meeting earlier? I'd love to meet y'all before I go under the knife!

These places on Broadview sound good. I also like the Only Cafe - but does it have enough room do you think?
If we can stand a place with sweets at it, there is a French cafe with baked stuff at the corner of Monarch Park and Danforth (between Greenwood and Coxwell subways) - lots of table room and we can sit far away from the pastry counter. But that might be a bit much, I don't know.
There's a great little cafe at the corner of Carlaw and Danforth called "The Mad Italian" - it's a new location, and they have a decent amount of table space as well, and comfortable chairs. It hasn't been very busy when I've been in, because it's pretty new, and because I went in during the day, but it's very cheery, not too much in the way of tempting baked goods (although they do have a gelato bar), and the folks in there are very nice. And it's kind of "central east" location-wise.
So those are some suggestions from me, but I'd be happy with whatever people want to go with.

Would you be able to find out the hours? I found the Only and they are open to 10:00pm. I have never been to any of them so have to rely on others for size. The thing with The Only is they have live entertainment which might be a bit loud if we want to talk. Perhaps find a night that is quiet.
The Broadview Expresso is not open past 7:00pm so not a good choice.

The Mad Italian is open until 10 or 11 on most weeknights.
The bakery at the corner of Monarch Park and Danforth is only open until 7 p.m. so that's also out - for some reason I thought they were open later! Oh well.
