Just curious...why doesn't Ontario sell sugar free cake mixes and icing?

With the obesity rate in Canada, it doesn't make sense that we cannot buy more sugar free and fat free food like in the states.  Does anyone know of any grocery stores in Ontario that sell sugar free cake mixes and icing?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.  Hope everyone is doing great, take care!  :)

They can't use the word sugar free for pudding because there are naturally occuring sugars from the milk products so it's called no sugar added and all the grocery stores carry it.  It's made by Jell-o and is with the rest of the pudding mixes.  There are even some pre-made ones in the refrigerated section.

Low Carb grocery sells it. Also, no sugar added (which I know isn't sugar-free) pudding is what I buy.

Kelly, canada can't call things sugar free, no sugar added is the same here as sugar free is in the states.

Another option would be to switch to fruits for dessert, vs expensive copies of bad habits.

Very well said.   And a lot nicer than I was thinking. :)
