Is air popped popcorn with nothing but pepper and vinager a bad idea?

I dont want to do something I shouldn't but I would really really like a snack that isnt protein.

I eat popcorn occasionally as a snack. It does have some protein in it, but is mostly carbs so if you are okay for your protein goals and are far enough out from surgery (like more than 6 months or so) you should be fine. My only concerns with your idea is the flavours. While personally not my choice for flavour, I can image the pepper would make the popcorn even drier and then the vinegar would make it super tangy, making me want a drink immediately afterward. I wouldn't be able to do the 30 minute rule and so this would be out for me. I guess it depends if this would make you thirsty or not?

I hope that helps some!

Popcorn is my snack of choice, It is low fat and high fiber. Grate some parmesan cheese on it if you are concerned about not including protein.

I sometimes spray a little olive oil on it too.

Maybe do an internet search for some low carb snacks first and see if something else sounds good to you.  I like cheese chips and turkey pepperoni chips with high protein dip...a yummy salty and crunchy snack that is high in protein, too.  You could also make some roasted chickpeas.

you can microwave or bake the pepperoni in the oven until it is crunchy.  I make a dip out of cottage cheese, greek yogurt and spices of choice (usually garlic, onion powder and/or dill) and dip the pepperoni chips in it...very tasty, for sure.

Holy crap! I can't wait until I can start eating that! It sounds soooo good! I think the cheese and pepperoni crisps will be a great movie-going snack to replace popcorn!

Thanks, I just wasn't sure if popcorn was something I could have. I have always eaten it with vinegar and pepper. Its super yummy. I will have to omit the butter obviously but I am very happy that I can have some popcorn.
