Question for vets
Big congrats Pat!!!!
As you know by reading the WAYE thread....I pretty much eat everything on occasion.....but having a taste doesnt send me into a binge
You need to find out what kind of maintainer you can be....if you can handle all in moderation....great - if you are better off never touching certain foods because they "trigger" overeating....then adjust yourself to this reality
All the best....lose a few extra if you can.....

Way to go! Congrats on hitting your goal!
Not really a vet but I build treats into my meal plan when something is coming up (like the holidays that just past). One thing I have learned is don't eat anything off plan unless it's REALLY good. It's not worth blowing your plan on cake that just ain't that tasty. Not saying go nuts on it, but make treats worth it and then you don't start thinking to yourself 'well, that cake wasn't very good so I'm going to have a little of XYZ today to make up for it because I deserve a treat'
Congrats on reaching your goal!!! As far as treats ago- we are not dead--so ja taste them or have a small piece! I would take a taste from my husbands desert just to say I tried it, I also include these extras into my plan--if I can afford the cal, carbs etc- I like the odd glass of wine, so it does work out- just be smart about how you deal with the treats- I have also been known to take a small piece of pie for myself--And I am still losing weight so it is possible... just keep a close eye on the scales that you don't end up taking the treats too often...
In fact at one of our nutrition sessions the NUT did suggest that we taste these things or we would feel so deprived and perhaps go off plan completely!! smart NUT.!!!
I'm not a vet so I have no advice, but I just wanted to congratulate you on reaching goal! We'll have something to celebrate on Tuesday evening coffee night if you're coming out. :)
