Hi Chanelle

This is just my opinion....but I think its important throughout this journey to try and keep your emotions in check.....the mental aspect is important.....

If you are "so upset you dont know what you are going to do with yourself"........because you have had a fluctuation.....this will be a very long and emotionally tiring time for you

Good Chanelle....try and keep your equilibrium........your hormones are going into overdrive with the weight loss.....you KNOW you are going to lose.....but your body will do so at its own pace......try not to compare....and be patient

Try and look at a month at a time.....after the first month....be happy with 5 - 15.....and this will fluctuate also....but the thing is....it will be consistent-  a loss of some description

Hang in there

It's probably fluid retention. Your body is confused by what you are doing to it, and it's trying to hold onto everything it has. You will probably have a bigger drop in the next week or so. It's not unusual, in fact it is very normal. And it is very frustrating. I agree with the previous poster that this will be a very ling road for you if you fret about a couple of pounds that are obviously not fat. There is no way you will gain weight at this point eating as little as you do right now. Try to relax, let your body readjust, keep following your rules and it will work itself out. Easier said than done, but you've gotta do it!

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

Chantelle

You have not failed, it could be anything some fluid retention, what you are eating, what you are wearing when you weighed yourself the time time of day you weighed yourself.

How often are you weighing yourself try and keep it to once a week if possible and weigh in the morning and try and relax this is a long journey.

Maybe you need to come and write down of the daily post  what you are eating maybe it is something you are eating and somebody can help.

Keep your chin up and try and not get down you will be losing before you know it.

Stick to the plan, get your water/vitamins/protein in and relax!  It will come!  In no time you'll be a shadow of your former self (in a good way)!  C'mon group hug!

awwww Chanelle.... THROW OUT YOUR SCALES

Despite yourself you ARE going to lose weight.. Trust me.. You should SEE what I ate in the last month!.. and I still managed to lose 4 lbs (In spite of myself)

This is WHY I don't like scales.. They put people such big emotional roller coasters.. and then being female with hormones on top  of it

Or male..ya know.. just saying.. lol
