You're very welcome.  I'm also an ice cream fan, and had to find an alternative to feed my cravings and keep my blood sugar at bay :)

I find by the time I eat my protein the feel of most carbs is very heavy. I tend not to eat pasta or breads. I have had the odd slice at 1 yr but still find them too heavy

I generally avoid pasta, bread, rice, etc to keep my everyday eating low carb but I have tried pasta a few times. Olivieri makes whole grain pasta that's pretty good. The good thing about pasta is I find it very filling, so when I have tried it I really eat a very little bit. If you'd like to try it, go ahead. There's nothing wrong with building some variety into your plan, but it's more of a once in a while thing when you're losing.

Yes I agree, it would only be a once in a while treat.

pasta is difficult to tolerate for me. Start with a small amount of whole wheat pasta. Have you ever thought of making that strata with something other than bread?

I don't eat pasta as its a trigger food and fills me up to quickly , but I now use spaghetti squa**** has a nice crunchy texture and my family also loves it too..You can also eat it as a side dish 1/2 Cup is 20 Cals,.5g protien and 10g carbs.

I'm not sure how you would use it to subsitute for mac and cheese, but its a healthier and lower carb option than pasta.

My surgeon said toast is fine, but some say its too high in carbs.

Good luck

I will have to try spaghetti squash again. I had it years ago and was not fond of it. But who knows maybe my taste will have changed.
