I'm on the bench, and I'm home and I am so very grateful

Arrived home today about 2:30 and my son is caretaking me tonight. I'm in manageable pain, and working on the process of sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, toot, toot, toot, rest, rest, rest.

The surgeon said it went perfectly, my liver was in great shape (thanks to OptiFast) and was going to send me home yesterday, a mere 24 hours after surgery. I wasn't feeling well enough for that, and then my bladder said "no", I'm not going to let her pee. They loaded me up with water, and I am moving it through my system. I have no hunger and absolutely no regrets. I left hospital on *no* insulin, just Metformin (down from two kinds of insulin and two kinds of pills) -- a miracle. I have an appointment Thursday for my post-operative look-see.

I'm heading back to bed shortly, and will be back on line tomorrow. Your prayers and good wishes sustained me through the surgery and will continue through the healing.

My most sincere thanks to Judy for coming to visit me on Wednesday evening, in minus 38 degree weather.  Your presence meant so much to me -- bless you!  To show up and with a gift!  What can I say!  Thank you for being my ex officio OH angel.

Welcome home!  So glad that you made it safely back home.   Keep doing what you are doing you will feel better with each passing day.  Hopefully you will be off of Metformin soon.  Enjoy each miracle as they come.
