I really liked the Hazel Nut kind. I would mix a shot of that in with a few drops of almond extract into a vanilla opti shake, and it would be delicious!
There are great Opti recipes in the Ontario recipe forum - follow the link in my signature and you'll find them. :) You'll have to join the recipe forum before you can see the threads.
P.S. I loved optifast, but I hated it when I tried it at the nutrition class. They mix it with lukewarm water there and it's disgusting. I have no idea why they do that - maybe just to scare some of us off, lol. Mix it with ice in a blender along with flavour syrups and then it will be much better!

Thank you very much for the link to the Optifast recipes. I'm getting apprehensive about 3 weeks on Opti, and diet pop (I drink a few cans a year), sugar-free Jello & Popsicles, and 10 calorie broth. I start next Monday....
I'll have to buy a few syrups and try them out now. I'm glad that I've found where the recipes are - at least the Ontarians' recipes. I got a few books and have been trying recipes from them with success, but I'm no cook and more ideas of what to make post-op will be great, and reassuring. In the nutritional seminar we were told that white potatoes were possibly out for good, but I see recipes with white potatoes in the bariatric surgery cookbooks - so is it just that a very small percentage of people dump after white potatoes? Was that another 'scare' tactic?
They mixed the Opti at my seminar with lukewarm water and did not even dilute is as much as you are supposed to; they mixed it with only 2/3 of the recommended amount of water, and I thought it was horrible - maybe they were indeed doing their best to scare some people off again, like you said.
Jenn. :)
