I Have the coveted appointment
I received a call today from Dr Cohen's office, I have a 1230 appointment Apr 15. I was also given the senior resident's ppager number and told to call if I have any issues between now and that appointment date and proceed to Mt Sinai ER.
So the magic number of "request to expedite" before action is taken is 4.

Referral- March 2012, Letter April 19, Orientation TWH- June 6, NP - July 3, Sleep Apena test July 16, Internist and SW - July 17, Nutritional class - July 23, Dietician appt. July 30th, Psych-Social appt - Aug 20th. Follow up with doctor sleep apena Aug. 28th Surgeons appt. - Dec. 14th Dr. Jackson. Surgery date - Feb 12 2013 - VSG
Dr. Cohen is AMAZING! My moms side of the family my grandparents had 8 kids 8 out of 8 have Crohns! The worst being my Uncle Ronny! He spent (im not kidding 2 full years) at Mt. Sinai and has been out and back home for the last 4 months.
The ONLY reason my uncle is alive right now is because of Cohen! He works miracles. He takes everything seriously and he never gives up. If there is a way of saving it...he will do it...if not you can guarentee that he did everything he could.
My uncle is home on TPN, illiostomy, double rou-en-y (because another surgeon really really ****** up) .... he has a very very short bowel. I could go on all day!
I'm happy you are in his hands!
