If you think your doctor makes a ton of money check it out

I took OHIP billing in college and from what I can see, rates haven't increased that much..take a look

just remember when you go to your doctor they can bill the higher amount for the (initial consult/visit)....if you return again or more than once they have to bill for the repeat consult or follow-up.

when you take time to look at the schedule and what they get paid even Emergency Room doctors and you know how things are paid..they truly don't get paid a lot...maybe specialists get paid more, but the general practioner...does not.

so maybe that's why they are always running late in the office because they have to schedule so many people within 15 minutes to make it worthwhile..

.and the person you should truly blame if you are kept waiting is other patients. (although I also get frustrated)

..they (sometimes) make an appointment for (1) thing, the scheduler allows a specific amount of time for that app't...the the patient ends up adding several problems/questions/issues to the visit~!

Also doctors in general practice have to pay for office staff from their earnings.
