I don't know the answer to your question but I just wanted to wish you well on your surgery.  I know that after my C-sections I was able to drive to my six week check up.

I had my surgery on a Friday (in November) and was driving by Wednesday, and drive 2.5 hours on the Thursday, home to Kingston from Ottawa. I had a blanket folded, for my back. I thought it would be for my tummy, but after laying down so much my back was killing me!

You can legally drive after 24 hours of no longer using narcotic pain medication.  Therefore that varies per individual.
