slow weight loss???
Ok guys so i will be 8 weeks post op tomorrow( 2 months out on july 7th) I have only lost since may 7th a total of 29lbs in two months is that normal??? I have lost 40 since opt started on april 23rd but i guess I figured after surgery I would lose alot faster. I am happy with 29lbs for sure but in two months thats it? lol
Hey Jen, glad to hear things are going well. I am 11 weeks out and only lost 51.5 lbs. I stalled for like 3 weeks. It seems to slow, them wham it starts again. Our bodies figure out we are losing alot of weight, and it goes hey.....it slows then when we balance back out.....it starts again. Keep the water flowing it helps flush the fat. Are you doing any light exercise?
Sounds like you are doing great Jen !!!! Ppl have advised me in the past to ensure I get in my water and protein, they do make a difference, and the chart Dawn posted is a great reality of the actuals. Keep up the great work !!!! Don't worry it will come off. I know its hard, but try to stay off the scale. Easier said then done, I know, but try to weigh in once a week.
Want faster loss? Keep an eye on the carbs.

I'm just a little over 3 weeks post-op and lost 11 lbs. I was talking to my children about what I considered slow weight loss because of reading about some people losing 100 lbs in 5-6 months. I did tell them that the doctors tell you to expect 2-3 lbs a week but I always liked being an over achiever. My children told me that I shouldn't get discouraged because I'm not losing weight at that rate and should be thankful my weight loss is slower. They think it will help reduce the amount of excess skin I have at the end if I don't drop such large amounts of weight at one time. Also, I'm losing at a steady pace without having to do strenuous gym workouts right now.
It's nice once again to have supportive and level headed children to encourage me along the way. I can visually see a change and I can wear one size smaller in my tops and my pants, etc come up to my waistline instead of a couple inches below it.
