TWH question, I'm a bit confused!
At the time I was so excited I wasn't really thinking straight, and didn't get enough clarification - I thought you had to complete all your appointments, and get a pass from those people, before booking your surgeon appointment. I did ask about that and was told nope, they'll call me Friday, but after looking through old posts about surgeon appts here, most people seem to finish everything and then wait for the call. Has anyone had their surgeon appt booked before completing nutrition and psych appointments? I should probably just call the centre for clarification but thought I'd check in here as well
They could have changed the process though. From what I've seen here is that there is not much consistency even within the same hospital so you never know....

I called my surgeon's office and got the appointment set up for after those appointments. I have those three on August 29th, and I've already booked my appointment with the surgeon for September 23rd.

Hmm, I don't even know who my surgeon is yet - but maybe that's what the call on Friday will be about, to tell me who the surgeon is. And I guess if you don't get the all-clear from other members of the team then they just reschedule your surgeon appointment to accommodate second appointments or testing... Confusing! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stop being so concerned with the logistics and just wait and see if I get a call on Friday. Good luck at your upcoming appointments! :)

I did say to her that I didn't call for cancellations throughout the summer because I thought everyone would be on holidays etc and she said no for sure to call for cancellations anytime it does help

Yeah that could be - maybe she didn't mean this Friday, but the Friday after my nut and psych appointments. I was just so excited all I heard was "the team will review your file and we'll call you with a date to see the surgeon" after that I was too busy freaking out, lol ;)
I thought the same thing about summer cancelations - between holidays for staff and people rarely canceling because it can take so long to get appointments, there would be nothing available. But that's how I got my next appointments so quickly - cancelations! So calling will pay off, though I hate to be bugging them! But better to be a nuisance and get a cancelation then wait forever!!
