TWH question, I'm a bit confused!

Kerry, would you mind sharing some insight on the psycologist appointment went last week for you.  How long was your session?  And what kind of questions did they ask?  I believe my appointment is with a woman named Susan.  Would appreciate and info you don,t mind sharing.

my appointment was with Marlene Taube-Schiff but I didn't actually see her. my meeting was actually with her assigned student Psychologist, the meeting lasted almost exactly an hour. she actually sped things up at the 50 minute mark because she saw the hour was finishing.

The usual questions were asked. I believe they were based on the same conversation I had with the social worker way back at the beginning, she actually quoted from those notes a couple times. So she just wanted confirmation and or clarification the basic information.

For the whole hour I kept thinking this is very clinical and automated. then in the last 5 minutes or so I thought wow this woman has been listening Like she said though, it is the policy not to give false hope or for anyone of the team members to arbitrarily confirm or deny someone the surgery on their own, it must be a team consent.

Okay Kerry, thank you.  I,m really anxious as well to get on with this procedure, I was referred August 29th 2012, Orientation was Dec 5th 2012.  Social work and Nurse practitioner was May 30 2013, Dietician class was June 25th. Dietician was July 28th, and now next week for the Psychologist appt.  I will be so happy once I have a surgeon appointment.

I'm okay with waiting until the moment they tell me I'm ready........ okay I'm ready lets do this now.... say this afternoon okay give ya till Monday, c'mon get with it!! that when I'm no good with waiting.

I have only one appointment left and it,s one week from today, at TWH with the psychlogist, and I was told the same from the dietican, that after you have gone through all your appointments the team gets together every thursday and discuss and see if there is anything outstanding that you might have had to do for a particular appointment and maybe haven,t done it yet.  Then after the team decides on your clearance you will then be notified by the surgeon,s office for your appointment with a surgeon.
