Exciting day!
I had a really great day today! Had my SW appt at TWH this afternoon and when I was done the lovely Rayann at reception was looking through the calendar to book my next appointments and I got everything in SEPTEMBER! Which means..... I could be in surgery by October!! YAAAY! Assuming everything goes well at the nut and psych appointments of course. She said when they review files on Friday I'll get a call with a date to meet with the surgeon! Woohoo! I thought you'd have to wait to get through the psych appointment first before you see the surgeon but she said nope, they can book that appointment as soon as my file is reviewed by the team which will be Friday. I know how lucky I am, as the lady who saw the SW right before me came out to get her next appointments and was booked in for the end of October. I just happened to get in on someone's canceled appointments. Right place, right time! I just about cried when she told me I could be done appointments by the end of September! Luckily the waiting area was completely empty by that point so no one had to watch my happy dance ;) Anyway, I have nutrition class next Monday and then it will all move quite quickly! I'm so happppyyyy!!!!

Well, the receptionist from my gastroenterologist called me last Tuesday, I think, to ask my height. So actually, I probably won't hear from TWH until next week at the earliest. I'm funemployed (har har) at the moment so I think the waits feel longer. But still, I saw Dr. Atin (the GE) on July 29, and it took him until Aug. 13 to fill out the referral! Sigh. Now, when I saw Dr. Atin, he also said he would prefer I have an MRI of the stomach, and eventually upper and lower GI scopes (but only if the surgeon planned on going ahead with it) before my VSG. I'm fine with that, but I got the MRI date on Friday - JANUARY 6th!!! I forgot to call them today to be put on a cancellation list. Jeez, I hope to have surgery before January 6th! Though like I said, I've chilled out on timelines A LOT. Like, as far as the wedding plans go, I've pretty much figured it'll push back from the hypothetical "next September" to the hypothetical "sometime in 2015". Haha! Hey, if we've already been together 6 years, what's another 2?
