Sooooo Upset!

This could NOT have happened at a worse time.

Last night I fell down a flight of stairs at home and tore a bunch of ligaments in my right foot.  I am in a cast and have to be non weight bearing for minimum 3 weeks....

...and the worst part....I have my surgeons appt. TOMORROW that I will now have to cancel as I cannot drive and I live about an hour away!

So this will spiral into a big chain of events....now I have to reschedule this appt which means my surgery date will be too late to get done this year! (Hubby cannot take time off after mid November due to end of the year workload! So I guess the wait for me continues and I will not get done until the new year.  I am sooooooo mad at myself!!! Arggghhh...also do you know how difficult it is to be overweight and only have one leg to walk on. Crutches are no picnic for a fat person!!

That must be extremely frustrating for you. I am sorry you have no one who could take you for your surgeons appointment. That is really disappointing. I hope you can re-book soon. Maybe ask to be on a cancellation list.

If anyone wants a cancelled surgeons appt. CALL NOW!  just cancelled for tomorrow at 10:30am!!

Sorry to hear your news, I can't imagine how very disappointed you must be on top of being hurt, hope you heal well

So sorry this happened. Maybe there is a "reason" for it that you don't know about.  Just know that the surgery is the beginning of your whole new life, and it will happen, maybe just a little later than you had hoped for. Good luck and hang in there. It's only a matter of time.

And kudos to you, honey, for thinking of the others on the waiting list - you shouted out that there's been a cancellation - they should get in there fast.

 

Paying it forward will work in your case, you'll see ... you'll ready for the resumption of your series of appointments, and it will all fall into place, you'll see.

call a cab company, they often have set fares. I live in Muskoka and only had to pay 225 to get to Scarboro. For myself it would be worth it, just hang out at the surgeons till hubby can come for you

Wow that's a tough break.  I hope you get things moving again quickly when you are back on your feet.
