What are you eating/doing today (Saturday)

Here it is 9:30 and no one has started the thread. I guess everyone is either really busy for the weekend r just slow starting today like me. I recently decided to stop drinking alcohol. Felt my consumption of wine was just a little too high. Last night my husband asked if I would like a coffee. I said yes. It came with brandy!. He thought since it was Thanksgiving weekend I wouldn't not drink. What difference does it make that it is Thanksgiving I still wanted to give my liver a rest.  So I will have to be more specific with him that I do not want any alcohol period

b greek yogurt, strawberries

l. chili apple

s pure protein bar

d ham and pea soup, salad

s. not sure will add in later

Good for you Pat for giving up alcohol- these things can sneak up on us- keep us posted on how you are doing

Going for a family hike today- should be nice with the fall colors and a few arrands to do today

B- protein shake
L- grilled cheese sandwich, apple
S- 1/2 protein bar
S- steak, onions, salad
S- Special K protein with Greek yogurt

Now to just stick to it- sigh

That's great, Pat - a tough thing to do for sure!

I ran this morning - what a beautiful day for a run.  We have our first family dinner tonight - I'm looking forward to it as last Thanksgiving I didn't get to have any food (was on Optifast). 

Here's my plan for the day:

B - Greek yogurt, berries, SF syrup.  Protein drink with a banana blended in post-run

S - 2 turkey pepperettes

L - Tuna salad on melba toast, spinach salad, pudding with PB

S - cheese, shrimp, meatballs (appies at our family dinner)

D - Turkey, gravy, a bit of cranberry sauce on some of my turkey (love it but sugar is so high!), veggies.  Going to also try a 1/2 piece of pumpkin pie

S - If I need one later on, Sugar Free jello

Totals - 1816 calories, 141g carbs, 77g fat, 147g protein

I started the thread early this morning but it wouldn't post for some reason.  My internet has been wonky all morning so that's likely why.  Pat, I give up alcohol every so often for months on end just to prove to myself that I don't have a problem with it.  Definitely need to tell hubby no alcohol period.

 

B - 2 eggs, 1 slice Canadian ancient grain bread

L - chicken breast baked with artichoke hearts, garlic and plum tomatoes, 1 cup green salad with 1 tbsp poppyseed dressing

S - greek yogurt, apple

D - 5 oz rib eye steak, 1/2 cup sauteed mushroom, 2 baby potatoes

1049 cals 66 carbs 47 fat 83 protein

May not have the apple and just add in another yogurt after dinner since I will be eating lunch late.
