RNY, 11.5 Months Post-Op

Good morning, everyone!

It doesn’t look like anyone’s started this today, so I’m going to do it before the day gets away on me!  We had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  I think I struck a good balance between enjoying the holiday and not overindulging too much.  I did have some treats (a bit of pumpkin pie, some cookies), but I tracked everything and kept up with my exercise over the weekend which was great for me.

Back to regular eating today!  I ran yesterday so am taking a break from that today – will get my yoga video done tonight.

Here’s my eating plan:

B – Greek yogurt with berries and Skinny B cereal, protein bar

S – Some fruit, pepperette and cheese

L – Turkey Cesar salad, protein drink

S – Carrots with hummus, egg, grapes

D – Chicken breast, asparagus, pudding with PB

S – SF jello, cottage cheese with cinnamon/splenda

Totals – 1,799 calories, 108g carbs, 74g fat, 178g protein

Have a great day!

RNY, 3yrs 1month post-op

Had an awesome weekend!! Went up to my sisters place in Merrickville on Saturday and enjoyed a fantastic turkey dinner, then went to Upper Canada Village for the Pumpkin Inferno display, that was pretty cool! Then on Sunday, booted down to Niagara Falls (uuugh the drive was loong) and indulged in another very yummy turkey dinner at my parents-in-laws place! They made us a great breakie yesterday and then we were off to visit my hubby's gramps at his new living place (I say it that way cuz he hates it) and then went to Mt Sinai to visit his Nana. We just found out yesterday that she has to have heart surgery; they are trying to get her in ASAP. She broke her hip almost 2 weeks ago but they have to do heart surgery first.

Another busy week ahead! I have an exercise class at 930 today then work work work.

6 Weeks post op

I was at my brothers for Thanksgiving this year and it went well. My SIL asked me before if there was anything she needed to do different, I was happy to tell her just to do it as she always does and I will be just fine :)  I took my own food just in case.

I had a little turkey, my own spaghetti squash (with protein powder mixed in) I brought, and some roasted veggies. Skipped the brownies, pie, cake and gourmet cupcakes that were brought. I did good!

AND the big one.... No Bread or buns for me!! My brother and I would devour that every holiday dinner, this year he was on his own :) No bread other than melba since August.

B- Protein Bar

S- Laughing cow, melba

L- tuna

S- undecided, I have a few options with me...

D- chilli, protein powder

S- some fruit of sorts

Great job!  Bread is a tough one - I also used to load up on it at every big meal!

Good morning,

No idea what my day will look like. I don't feel that I overate last night, but I had a crazy, and what felt like a gall bladder attack (phantom maybe?) last night about an hour after dinner. People were still at my house, and I was doing dishes and had to stop and lie down with a heating pad. Horrible!! I finally felt better around 2 a.m.

Today i've had coffee (which actually did fine), and am trying my goat yogurt and pudding mixture, and my stomach feels like acid i****ting it. So, no idea what i'll be having.

I have a party at the Four Seasons tonight, with free food and drinks...oy!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Last day of my extra long weekend. Had lunch with my daughter, miso soup, beef bulgogi and a few bites of seaweed salad. She got to finish the rest. Thanksgiving went really well for me. Didn't really miss all the carby and sugary stuff.

dinner left so will be having leftovers. Going to try to heat them up in my new steamer. Wish me luck!
