Ideas for sprucing up cottage cheese in the full fluids stage?

Google is giving me lots of good ideas for what to pair with cottage cheese when I can eat full foods again but not many ideas for right now. I didn't eat cottage cheese pre-op (except in things like lasagna and dip!) and don't especially love how it tastes on its own now, but I like the protein it offers. I just tried it with applesauce and that was so-so. Any other ideas?

If you want it more dessert like, add in some cinnamon and a bit of splenda or SF syrups if you have any. You can also mix in a bit of protein powder like chocolate and make it more like a pudding, you could give it a whiz in a food processor, bullet, whatever you have. For more savory you can add in some spices like garlic powder, oregano and then microwave a few minutes.  You can also add a bit of tomato soup to it and warm it up with the spices and then it's more like the inside of the lasagna.  It's also good mixed with some dried dill that you let sit for a few hours before eating.

Excellent ideas thank you so much! Sometimes you stand in front of the cupboard staring at a million options and your brain doesn't click in, lol, I have all these things in the pantry! I think I'll try it with tomato soup for lunch, that sounds delicious. Then maybe try making it into the protein powder pudding for a snack after supper. Thanks!!

You can mix some cottage cheese with some yogurt as well to make it a bit lighter in texture.  You can also add the NSA pudding dry mix to the cottage cheese to make it more dessert like.  I know after many weeks of Opti, the last thing I wanted was more sweet stuff.

How about adding some spaghetti sauce to it.  Be kinda like lasagna without the noodles.

Has anyone tried the SF syrups with it?

Experiment.

I've used SF syrups and it's good.  It's too early for her to use spaghetti sauce since she's on full liquids.  I recommended tomato soup to her since it's allowed and similar.  I loved it with the spaghetti sauce and baked in the oven on pureed.

As Tracey mentioned, some splenda and cinnamon warmed up in the microwave is one of my favourites.  I also like it with some SF jam (not sure if you're able to have that yet). SF syrups would be good too.  For me the key is warming it up!

I will definitely try it with cinnamon and Splenda, that sounds good! The only sf syrups I have at the moment are left overs I didn't love from the Opti stage - peanut butter and pumpkin pie. Maybe I'll try a little splash of the pumpkin thanks!

I ordered them from The Low Carb Grocery website :) I wasn't a huge fan of the chocolate Opti in general and the peanut butter syrup didn't make it much better for me. It's not the peanut butter taste I was expecting - similar, but not exactly Skippys! But maybe on other things it will have a better taste, perhaps the Opti overpowered it. They're DaVinci syrups and there's quite a few flavours on the website. I think they have a store in Markham too, if you're in that area.
