Calcium chews that are citrate?
I debated it, and I don't think I'm up for a drive in to the city at that time of night. I seem to get tired out really quickly and don't have anyone else who'd drive me so I will wait until the next one when I hopefully have more energy. I'm going to my first follow-up with my GP instead, hoping he will take these damn tape things off!! Are you going?
I've heard tons of good things about it so I am definitely making it a point to get to the next one :) Glad you find it helpful - we need that support system and to have a chance to ask questions in person is worth it. The drive home for me at that time of night is great, I can make it in about 45 minutes, but the drive there, yikes. The 401 is always clogged, both ways!
I buy the Citrical Gummies - they are so good! So sweet and yummy. It's like a treat 5 times a day! There is 60 in a bottle. I bought mine at Target but I saw them 10 minutes later $1,00 cheaper at Shoppers' Drug Mart. I take 4-5 a day my Dietician suggested. I take them after a half hour passed my multivitamin. They are Calcium + D, by Bayer. They are $11.99 a bottle. So two a month....

Those are elemental calcium and she's looking for calcium citrate so they are the same as the Jamieson Chews, not the right kind of calcium. I know TWH allows their patients them for the first few months then want them to change to citrate. Also I'd be leary of taking them since the first ingredient is corn syrup, might trigger dumping in some people.
I was just researching that info - the website says tricalcium phosphate which I know the nutritionist at TWH said is allowed for the first month, as you said Tracey, but I think I'd rather just start off with the right kind. If I can buy regular calcium citrate pills and just crush them, I'll do that so I know for sure I am getting the right stuff :) Thanks for the suggestion though pcgreatlakes!
I did look at the Bariatric Advantage on Amazon and it seems cheap compared to buying them at TWH. I think it's $13 something and about $5 shipping for a bag of 60. I think I'd need two bags a month? So with shipping it's still $20 less than at TWH, for anyone interested :)

You sure the price for the chews at TWH is more? TWH sells the chewables for sure that they sometimes call lozenges and you get more per bottle and they are 500 mg each. I have ordered these ones from amazon and they are a bariatric one from the US and I haven't had to pay duty. 500 mg per tablet and it has added magnesium and D. Only $5 shipping and you could order more than a month's supply and the shipping doesn't increase much.
