Rough weekend!
I am indeed! :) I honestly don't mind it at all - lucky me! :)

Oh that's good, it's so much easier when you're not having a mental breakdown the whole time, lol. That will help you after surgery!
Today seems to be a bit better, my CPAP machine was on the fritz last week so even though I thought I was sleeping normally I probably wasn't. But I got a new hose for it yesterday and used it last night, so finally some solid sleep. Rest seems to cure a lot of ailments. Still pain, but nothing like on the weekend!

Ouch. At 3 weeks post op, I decided to lift a sandbox full of sand and water that had been sitting in my back yard getting swampy for 3 months. Pulled an ab muscle, thought for sure I ripped the pouch or caused a hernia - except it was generalized versus specific abdo pain. Took a week in bed to get better (worse than surgery).
Realized it was me doing what I always do - too much, and often at the expense of my health and that absolutely had to change. Well that has changed BIG TIME and I do for myself first - eating, working out, haircut, toenails... Family second and work last.
It feels great - I seem to have lost all guilt about it and just put out what I'm doing and not doing, instead of asking for permission or hoping it might fall into place after everything else.
It was a hard and painful lesson, but it worked...
Take care of yourself.
Great story! I'm glad something good came from your painful muscle. When you are taking care of yourself and are happy, it trickles down to the rest of the family and then to the rest of your life. Congrats on putting yourself first! I think it's something a lot of women struggle with.
Thanks for the well-wishes, lots of rest and I'll be ok! :)
