I think I'm off chicken for the time being, just ground beef for now. That can be dry as well on it's own but I usually eat it in chilli or stew or something like that, so that helps. I never liked gravy pre-op but I may have to try and develop a taste for it ;)

Thanks! Much better now, just a little sore. One good thing that came out of it is I had the best sleep since getting off the pain pills after surgery, lol.

Hi, what does the papaya enzymes do???  I had the foamies once and another time I ate pasta which I thought went down great but then the pain started in my back and chest..thought Id die..We learn our lessons the hard way

Papaya enzymes break down the protein and aid in digestion. So if something is stuck it works on breaking it down so it goes down easier. Or for some people the papaya enzymes makes whatever is stuck come back up, so it gets un-stuck one way or another! We definitely learn our lessons the hard way. I won't be touching pasta, have heard so many horror stories!!

Must have been the full moon last night, because I got the first time foamies too. The pork was very tender, but it was the tastiest thing I'd had in months and I ate too much and too fast.  Luckily, the stuck pieces came back up about 30 minutes after the foam, but it was quite a lesson!

Quite an experience isn't it? Glad it came up after about half an hour, the pain isn't fun to endure!! It's definitely a reminder to slow down and concentrate on what we're putting in our mouths! Hopefully neither of us have to learn the lesson again any time soon :)
