RNY  4 Years 7 Months Post Op

Morning

Today will hopefully be my last long Monday working.....I will be busy so the day will go quickly.....

STEPS - 4890 - I was a slug yesterday

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of regular coffee

    Premier protein shake

 

S - MdDonalds fruit and fibre muffin

 

L - Cobb salad with Paul Newmans Light Italian dressing

 

S - Greek yogurt

 

D - Leftover beef tenderloin- 4oz

 

S - Clementine orange

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,221,  Carbs - 90 grams,  Fat - 51 grams,  Protein - 101 grams

 

All water....vits....lots of decaf coffee and tea

Good-looking menu there, Barb.  I'm loving clementine oranges - t'is the season!  I was more of a slug than you yesterday - I only got in the high 3,000's for FitBit steps... :)

This morning I was thrilled to discover that I dropped 1.5 lbs over the weekend, so I am now 180 lbs. Pretty happy about that.  I still can't believe this is happening on 1,500 calories a day.  Ah, malabsorption, you are a beautiful thing.

Today: Doing my morning swim, and then spending all day and evening volunteering on a campaign to get out the vote in a by-election.  Which means I'll be doing lots of walking.  I'll be making sure to wear my FitBit today!  I'll also have to think of good pack-along snacks and lunch.  I'll try to drop into the Toronto East Enders coffee night tonight, but I might not get a chance to do so, since the polls close at 9:30, so 7:30 will be crunch time for getting out the vote.

1 YEAR POST-RNY

B - Premier Protein shake

S - 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt, plus 2 tbsps dried cranberries and 1 oz almonds

L - Leftover slice of meatloaf, slices of cucumber, and a clementine orange

S - 1/2 cup light ricotta/vanilla/splenda mix and (hmm, out of berries!) I guess another clementine.  Maybe I'll stir in another 2 tbsps of dried cranberries and see how I like that.  I'll add it to my totals anyhow.  Time to go berry shopping!

D - Not sure - either something from Mr. Greek at coffee night, or something I grab at a restaurant near the polls I'll be working from.

S - 1 cup of milk with 25g Special K Protein cereal

TOTALS WITHOUT DINNER: 98g protein, 38g fat, 101 carbs, 17g fiber, 1137 calories

So, I have a few hundred calories and a decent amount of room in all of protein, fat and carbs to play with for dinner.

L-  3 oz roast chicken and green beans.

S-1/4 cup of spaghetti squash .

D- chicken with spaghetti squash and a little salsa mixed in.

S-  home made protein bar.. 

I have my Curves at 5 pm then have my diner after that..Have a great Monday ...Krista..

Barb the countdown is on.  Less than a week to go now.  Am very happy for you.

I think I may be developing an allergy to almond milk so am going to try it again today and see if I react or not.  I finally am no longer allergic to shellfish and now I am reacting to this I think.  I sure hope it is just coincidence that it happened to me twice with almond milk now although I can still eat almonds and never have it happen.  Have to see what else they throw in the almond milk.

L - last piece of crustless quiche and 1 slice of 12 grain toast

S - greek yogurt

D - 4 oz salmon filet, bowl of homemade veggie/bean soup

RNY, 1 Year Post Op

Back to work today after vacation - going to be a busy week!  I joined a gym near my house yesterday, as it is getting too cold for me to run outside (I know some people do it and layer up, but I get cold way too easily now!).  So I'll be doing most of my running on the treadmill this winter.  Tonight I plan to do my Yoga DVD video at home.

Here's my eating plan:

B - Greek yogurt, berries, SF syrup, protein bar

S - Pepperettes, cheese, apple

L - 1/2 turkey sandwich, salad with balsalmic dressing

S - Carrots/Hummus, grapes, egg on the way home if I need it.

D - Warm chicken salad, SF pudding with peanut butter

S - SF jello, cottage cheese w/ splenda/cinnamon

Totals - 1566 calories, 148g carbs, 54g fat, 126g protein

Happy Monday everyone! Soft diet...here I come!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. 

28 days post-op - did weight myself once last week. Am down 3 lbs, AND ate out for the first time, not too bad. 

Here we go....

D-Homemade beef stew (made my mother proud!) lol

Good morning mail

RNY 3+yrs post op

 

Crazy weekend, my life is NEVER dull! LOL .. I worked days all weekend then found out both my grandparents are/were in the hospital. My grampa is home now with his wife recovering and my gramma is not allowed to leave til she is much better, has a pacemaker, and gets home care in place. We drove to Woodstock to go visit her, in that snow storm. 

Busy week of house cleanings and work til 12 at the hospital. 

B- pancakes! (made only with a banana and 2eggs, they were better then I thought they would be!)

S- protein shake, made with powder, milk and strawberries

In my lunch bag (not sure what order I will eat in today but at least I have a plan)

- cheese and crackers

- chinese, lo mein, I get a craving and HAVE to have it but it's not often and it takes me 4/5 days to eat the whole thing

- cottage cheese with grapes

- a warp, with chicken, cheese, lettuce, ranch dressing

- 16g bag of chips

- clementine

- premier protein shake

 

all liquids, coffee, oj and vitamins in for the day
