changing hospitals

hello, does anyone have any experience with switching hospitals. i was wondering if i can ask at my orientation to switch to a different hospital?

My referral was sent to TWH however, I am having revision surgery and my referring Dr is actually Dr Hagan who works out of Humber River, once my info was received at TWH I kindly asked them for a "patient transfer", it generally takes about 2-4 weeks for everything to go through, once the new hospital has your information they will schedule you in for Orientation...
