Homemade broth on Opti

Can I make my own broth if I strain it and skim off the fat while I'm on Opti.  The book says it has to be under 10 calories per serving but how will I know the calorie count of a homemade broth?  I just thought it would be cheaper and tastier than Campbells.

I would think it to be a better choice than store bought. Jus****ch your sodium. To me there is nothing wrong with simmering some chicken or beef and some fresh veg, like onion, celery, peppers, or tomato and straining it.

I made it while on opti, I used vegetables and meat boiled it like crazy kept the stuff that I boiled and made it into pured goop which I froze in ice cube trays and froze the broth in ice cube trays for the clear fluid stage.  Both I used and have made again post op, the broth cubes are really nice to use in cooking, meats that you want to keep moist
