How to REALLY know you're ready for surgery?!?
Well everyone - just wanted to update you - I feel like I am actually REALLY ready for surgery!
I guess you just know when you know! I met with the surgeon today and got a date...and am SO EXCITED!!!
I'm actually getting the sleeve and even though I never asked for it, it was the surgery I really wanted. Surgery is Feb. 1!
Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come.
Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.

I feel the exact same way. A few years back I was approved for the surgery and met the surgeon and all that was left was to pick a date. I was literally 2-3 weeks away from surgery and I opted out. Now I'm going through the process again and I still don't feel like I'm ready. I think my main concern is weight gain post-op. If I haven't succeeded at weight loss prior to surgery because of my eating habits then why would surgery work for me? Bah! so many questions and concerns ramble through my brain and that's probably the reason I ended up on this forum.
