Got My Meet The Surgeon/Consent Appointment
I heard from St. Joe's and I am meeting Dr. Hong on July 10th! So excited as this is the final step before I get my surgery date!

The earliest I could have it is September due to some vacation conflicts at work (my boss NEVER takes vacation and his wife finally convinced him to take August off for a family vacation). Both of us off would not end well and I don't want to stress during recovery. Another poster noted it is 4 to 6 weeks from consent but the nurse did say quite a few people have moved through the process lately.

September is right around the corner anyway! That will give you time to prepare, and like you said, not stress about recovery.

I go in tomorrow for my final two appointments before TWH decides if I meet the surgeon. I'm so nervous. They say it takes two weeks after to find out. I imagine I'll have a sense when I leave tomorrow though. Hopefully anyway! Not sure of the timing after that at TWH though.

Congratulations; so happy for you! I remember the excitement of this stage of the journey so well. Can't believe I'm already 21 weeks post op.

That's awesome! I am right behind you, I had my dietitian appointment yesterday at St Joes Hamilton (it was my last health professional consult). She said I should get a call within a few weeks to book the consent appointment. She mentioned it is a bit slower at this moment due to vacations etc. but I should get surgery in 2-3 months. Julie
