Guelph meet the surgeon

Hey guys,

I'm meeting the surgeon in guelph after being transferred from Toronto western, can anyone on here tell me what to expect and how long the appointment will be approx.??

Mine was half hour tops...met nurse...met surgeon...bought opti and out the door. My surgery was two weeks after my surgeon appointment and I started opti the next day. I was also transferred from TWH... best decision As I loved the nurses and staff.

Surgeon will go over the risks of surgery...a brief description of what to expect...answer any questions you may have. Great experience!!

Hope it went well! Mine was about an hour but they were super busy that day and I had to wait a while. I'm so glad it worked out though. I saw the surgeon on Dec 19th or 20th and had surgery on Jan 12 - only 1 week of Opti. It worked out so well for me and I loved the team at Guelph. I had Dr. Reed but I've heard only good things about all the surgeons there.

My total time with the surgeon and nurse was about 30 minutes, but I did have to wait an hour.

Just got a call to remind me of the appt and the receptionist said.... " and if the doctor accepts you for surgery"......I'm like.....I hope I am after all of this and driving an hour and half.....freaking out a bit I guess. I'm just hoping that they meant if I wasn't ready he'd say no..... I'm ready
