Surgery date - November 26
Hey all
They called yesterday and my surgery date is set for November 26!
That is fine by me because that will mean Optifast starts Oct 29th. No Halloween candy unless they make a caramel corn flavored SF syrup 
to add to shakes.
Bring on the pureed turkey for Christmas.. (I'll be posting for creative holiday menu options so be prepared)

In a way, I wish I had had that much time to mentally prepare for surgery. I had four days until I started Opti. Still, I was happy to get going with things.
I will be just short of six weeks for Thanksgiving this year. I'm not sure if I can have a small bit of turkey with gravy or not. Technically, I will still be on "soft" foods, but depending on how I'm feeling, I may try a bite.

Congrats! That's so exciting! I got my call for a surgery date today (Friday. I know it's technically Saturday now, but the excitement had made me unable to sleep) - and was so shocked that it's in just over two weeks - October 3rd. Yikes! I start Opti Monday so I only get two days notice.
