***Terrific Tuesday Roll Call***
What an awesome Monday I had. I am beat, but can't sleep. Too excited. My daughter and her family took me to Sesame Place for Isabel's third birthday. What an awesome evening we had. We got there around 3:00, and did so much in just a few hours. My daughter and Izzy have season passes, so they go more often while they are in town. Afterward, we met my sister for dinner at Chili's across the street.
My sister is having lap band surgery on Wednesday at Jeanes Hospital with Dr. Dempsey. Please say a prayer for her.
Tuesday has me heading to my school district's health services office for a meeting with the doctor. After that, I am heading to my ex's to babysit the Munchkins while my daughter helps her husband finish the job he is doing there. He is a contractor. Then, we will have dinner with my daughter's stepmother and her son.
Today is an AA anniversary for me. I have five months of sobriety today.
Stay cool everyone.
Hugs,
Trish

Congrats on the 5 months trish! Keep it up!!
Let's see...Tuesday tuesday tuesday...first I need to leave work. It was a typical monday thus far...up to a 2 1/2 hour wait in the waiting room - 17 people staring at me at once..fun times I tell ya.
Leaving work...then headed directly home hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep by 8 or 9 and sleep till noon or one. Tonight is a night off for me.
Potentially I'm meeting up with a girlfriend of mine for some shopping and gabbing. But she has cancelled the past 3 times we've had plans, so I'm not holding my breath, lol
I'm sure if we do go out it'll end up being for dinner and stuff as well....so I potentially may not be home till later tonight.
If none of that happens, I'm sure Brian and I will find something to do with ourselves...
Enjoy!
Pam

Trish - 5 months!!!! WAHOO!!!!!!!!! Keep it up! :)
So - here I am awake again at 1:30 AM - this is getting ridiculous. I fell asleep at 11 and here I sit. Trying to get sleepy enough to go back to bed. UGH!
The morning brings the Awards ceremony for my 8th graders. Love to see their shining faces as we surprise them. Then some more cleaning up in the classroom and organizing crap......I don't know how I let it get this way EVERY year! Oh well.....At least the kids learned a thing or two! After school, headed home to meet up with my two oldest girlfriends. I met one of themwhen I was in knidergarten and we had the same white winter boots - yes - I still remember the moment. And the other one, the three of us were friends since first grade and have reconnected with facebook. LOVE IT!!!!!!!
That is my day - Larry is working - and it looks like tonight was the last night for us to be sleeping in the same bed for a few weeks as he is working the next three and I am off to camp on Friday. UGH! I just need to keep reminding myself - Israel next year - Israel next year!
Hope you all have a GREAT Tuesday! :)
Today has me working til 3:30ish
making dinner
Tonight is graduation at Siehara's school. She is not graduating, though she is leaving after this year, but the choir is singing at the graduation. We will be there to send our well wishes to the 3 girls graduating from 8th grade this year.
after that, home to bed
Congratulations Trish on your 5 months! Your sister is in great hands we will keep her in our prayers on Wednesday.
Today I am heading out to work - lets hope I get there today. I will be leaving early to do the final walk through @ St. Joe's University for the Scholarship Reception our company is hosting next Wed. Our employees have a fund drive yearly where money is donated, it can go to many of the functions we provide our members, the one I am involved with is the scholarships we award to a certain amount of members each and every year. This year we were able to give 49 scholarships!
After that I have to stop at Best Buy to pick up the memory card for my new camera. We're having an amazing function @ church this coming sunday. We'll be hosting a youth choir from North Carolina there are 66 members of this choir. Part of the choir is hand bells the rest sing. I'll be busy baking and cooking towards the end of the week for our fellowship luncheon that will take place after the service. During the service I am planning to bring all my cameras to take some awesome pictures of this event.
After best Buy I'm planning to go to the gym - never made it there yesterday. I became so tired I laid down right after lunch from all the emails I was monitoring yesterday for work and slept for a few hours then woke up tired with no energy.
After the gym, home to rest and relax.
Hope everyone has an awesome day!!!!

Way to go Trish,5 months is an awesome accomplishment!
Feeling better today I really think My morning meds were stuck yesterday. I downed them pretty fast before I headed out the door! Only had water before during and after my workout.....
Today is work and a support meeting at Abington.....
Enjoy this Beautiful Day! P Rock!
Nutrition and workouts go hand in hand. I've had it on good authority that the "best" way to handle it is to have a complex carb about 1/2 hour - 45 minutes before your workou****er before and during your workout, then protein within 20 minutes of completing your workout.
The way that I handle that, because I work out first thing in the morning, is that I will generally not have the carb beforehand, but will make sure I drink water on my way to the gym and during my workout. After I get dressed, I have a muscle milk light, or something comparable in protein.
This does a couple of things - the carb gives you "quick" energy. The water keeps your muscles from cramping and can keep you going longer (Dehydration really saps energy quickly!). The protein immediately after keeps your blood sugar steady, builds lean muscle, and keeps your metabolism high enough to burn fat for hours after your workout. It also gives you the long lasting energy boost.
Hope this helps!
