hi cath- i'm in charlotte, nc so my OnQ pump fee might be reasonably comparable for your area. my delicious surgeon (seriously handsome and amazing stitching) charged $250 for the On-Q device. i wouldn't even CONSIDER abdominal surgery without this pump-- the pain was completely managable the first few days by combining the numbing medication in the bulb and tylox tablets. regarding demerol- yikes! it made me completely whacked... i couldn't walk without whinging like a baby and the only time i cried was when i was "under the demerol influence". my doctor gave me tylox and i found it to be very effective for the pain. i only had a tummy tuck so i'm no help with the other precedures. the very best of luck to you. alex
