Brachioplasty on Thrs. How many stitches....

Hi All, I am having a Bracioplasty on Thrs. Feb. 21. I asked my Surgeon how many stitches I will have and he said it is a "running stitch". Does anyone have any idea how many stitches they ended up with for a Brachioplasty? Thanks! Teresa

I've had 3 plastic surgeries and never been able to even see any of the stitches in my long incisions.  All of mine have been inside and desolvable. The only stitches I've seen are one or two in the small incisions where he's done lipo. Best wishes and happy healing. Beth

My stitches were a running stitch on the inside.  There were a "few" outside stitches but maybe 3 at the most where he felt there was tension and maybe there would be a opening if he didn't stitch it up.

Mine are also running, disolvable type that you can't see.  I know there must be hundreds of them.  The scar runs from my elbow to my armpit and out down my side.  My BR/BL and Brachioplasty took 7 hours of surgery so make your own conclusions as to the amount of "sewing."  Good luck with everything!  Donna
