Painful goosebumps?

Hello all- I am 3 weeks out from brachioplasty with axillary repair and breast reduction. When I get goosebumps (which is ALOT since all of this extra insulation is gone) it HURTS!  It feels like pin-pokes everywhere. Anyone else with this?  How long does that take to go away? Thanks!!!

Yes!  I can't say it hurts.. but it's a strange sensation.  I just told my fiance the other night that it feels so weird to get goosebumps... because it doesn't hurt.. it just feels so weird.  I also have numbness along my incision line though, which my surgeon said was normal.  Do you have much numbness?  Do you have any pictures yet?

Yes, I have numbness - the underside of both of my arms and into the arm pits.   The numbness make things feel more swollen than they actually are.  That is annoying. My PS tooke before, during and immediately after pictures - he said they would be ready for me at my appointment in July.  I will scan and post them then. You look like you are doing very well in your pictures - happy in recovery?  :)

I am doing well with recovery!  Today I was actually able to get the garment off to take a shower and on all by myself!  I had need help because of the tape pulling before.  I also was able to style my hair like I normally do.  My hair is really curly and it takes me 20 minutes to straighten it with a blowdryer and round brush... but I did it today!  And today I am officially 2 weeks out.  My scars are pretty nasty looking... starting to get really bumpy and red.  I guess it's normal and I was expecting the worst for the scars... but it is a trade off and I am saying.. no regrets.  I can't turn back now... so I need to find some really good scar solutions! :)

It happened to me as well.  I found it painful, not just a sensation.  If I remember correctly, it went away at about 5-6 weeks and I haven't had any issues since.   Best of luck!
