Breast Lift? I'm 53 - does it really matter?

I am 53 also. I had breast lift and love it. Of course, it matters and you are worth it. Don't let age be the deterrent. Remember todays 50 is like 30 years old. The main thing is if you want it. If so, I found it to be the easiest recovery of all.  Good luck in your journey! Hugs, Pat

Everyone makes really good points and certainly gives me a lot to think about.  I have a while before I need to decide but I'm definitely leaning towards doing the two at once (arms and BL).
Thanks everyone.

Great post!  Thanks, I'm enjoying reading all the replies.  I'm pushing 53 myself and am having a LBL in Nov and impants sometime in the spring.  After losing 120 pounds I feel 20 years younger, and after I get the tummy done, the butt lifted and the girls back to their former C cup, I will hopefully look 20 years younger too!

Do it for YOU!  You deserve it!

What good does it do to have a really good bra if you aren't happy with your breasts??  I had a breast lift and no color, style or shape of any good bras made me feel better about what was inside them before surgery.

Believe me, the breast lift was a BREEZE compared to the LBL.  I didn't really have any pain with the BL at all.  GO FOR IT!!

I had BA in June and now I cannot imagine life without them. I look back at pictures and it aged me sooooo much (before BA)!!! I feel like having perky breast has given me a whole new outlook on feminity and  feel so young and alive!!! I know it sounds corny, but this surgery truly can turn back the clock a little. WLS tends to leave you saggy which tends to age anyone at any age (I'm 35).

Best wishes to you!!!

Embracing my femininity sounds good.  I've spent too much of my life trying to get in touch with my masculine side.  Time to celebrate womanhood.
Thanks!

YES! It's so worth it. I was 57 (now 58) and I would do it over. No more bewbies down to mid-tummy! I actually don't have to wear a bra but I do. Worth every penny!
