Mexico PS - patient reviews missing?

Why are there no patient reviews for Sauceda and why are there no negative reviews for Quiroz. I have seen lots of complaints about Quiroz and Fuentes recently, but there are no negatives on their patient review forums. I wonder why.

Maybe because no one would like to cause friction amount each other in this website........

Hi Maria!  I haven't seen you here in awhile!  It has been a couple of months now.  Are you still happy with your lower body lift results?  Did you ever get a chance to speak with Dr S regarding your other situation?

I have read as a general rule it is pretty much a given that if a surgeon is a "member" here  or an advertiser  OH will monitor and delete negative comments.  The surgeon can also request comments be deleted I believe.  I am not saying this pertains to these particular surgeons but it is what I have read before.

When I went to look for reviews on Drs, many of them were older reviews.  It seems to me that people just don't use that part of the website very often. I may be completely wrong though. I would hope that if someone had something had something negative about an experience they had, they would speak up about it.

You can check with your states local  medical board and licensing site....you can learn a lot there (especially legal actions against the Dr.).

Bottom line.....do not rely on only one source when doing your research and always insist on getting phone numbers of former patients to talk to them.

I would imagine be that if you have had bad plastic surgery you are not going to want to shout about it.   Having bad surgery may lead to feels of  low self esteem and even a sense of being violated.........   it takes a very strong person to make vocal complains about a particular surgeon and seek compensation.        My guess is a lot of people just suck it up and get revisions by different surgeons to fix and problems.

Also, I am a member of a few different forums (plasic surgery wise) and it does seem to be general theme that negative comments are NOT encouraged and often times deleted if they are about a 'supporting doctor' who is a contributer to the forum.

Not sure if this helps you or not but I know he is not a paid advertiser on OH so that might be one reason there are no reviews .  I have heard that the doctors who pay are able to have bad reviews removed.

Please research as much as you need to help you make your choice.  Traveling to MX is not for everyone. I guess it was easier for me since I had already done it for my WLS .  And I had already met Dr S twice before making up my mind. Plus I have had the chance to also meet 3 of his patients who used my same WLS doctor. So that also made it a lot easier for me .  I will be here until the 20th of this month so if I can help answer any of your questions  --  feel free to ask .  My surgery is this morning so I will not be back on line until I get back to the hotel .  So it might be better to PM me or wait a few days until you post your questions so I won't miss them .
