Is Dr. Sauceda a member of ISAPS?

Hello All,

It seems this board has gotten very hot with topics on Dr. S. Because of this, I am rethinking my decision to use a local PS and am considering him. Does anyone know if he is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery? Is there any way to check his credentials?

Also, I am assuming that "Francisco Gerardo Sauceda Mireles" is not the same person as "SAUCEDA, FRANCISCO BASIL" listed as on probation on the Texas Medical Board.

I am a thorough researcher and want to make sure that the opinions and facts I am reading about him are unbiased and unpaid opinions.

My DH is having a fit about going out of the country, so I need all the ammo I can get.

I would also love to find some reviews that did not come from OH (although these are the most important!! )

Thanks!!

I've been in the process of researching Dr Sauceda as well.  I believe the Dr from Texas is a Family Practice physician and not a Plastic Surgeon and has a different birthdate.

I don't think he is a member of the International Society, but here is the link that shows he is Certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic Surgery.

http://www.cirugiaplastica.org.mx/qcp.html Then you have to clik on the "Direcrtorio de cirujanos plasticos" Then on the "Nuevo Leon" And you have to be on this page http://www.cirugiaplastica.org.mx/estados/nuevo-leon.html

No, Francisco Basil Sauceda is not the same person as Francisco Gerardo Sauceda Mirales.  If you do a search on here, you should find an old post about it.  They are completely 2 different people.

By the end of next week, you are going to have 4 more reviews of Dr Sauceda since there are 4 of us scheduled  starting with Tony's surgery today.  I can guarantee that we are all unpaid opinions because I have a $14,600 cashier's check sitting in my suitcase right now.  We are all coming from different parts of the country as well.  I am coming from Hawaii where we just were stationed here in February, Tony is coming from Mississippi, Fabienne is coming from South Carolina, and Debbie is coming from Pennsylvania.   We may be biased though after we see our fantastic results!   We are all from OH though.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks to everyone who answered!!!

When I was comparing paying $7,800 for just my BL (no Augmentation) and arm lift, to maybe $11,000 to $12,000 to get everything done, I stared having second thoughts. I was just about to put down my deposit for the local PS.  But I am also skeptical by nature, so I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision!!

I will be anxious to here everyone's experiences and see pic when you all get back!!!

I will probably go ahead and get my arm lift done here as the timing is an issue, and I can get them done over the Christmas Holiday ($3300). I can't go to Mexico for Christmas... My family would kill me as I was gone last year too! But I am thinking of going to Dr. S in April to get my BL/BA and LBL.

Good luck

Hi Tony!!! Congrats on your surgery!!! You seem to be doing well!!

How was the overall experience so far? Did your surgery go as expected (no changes in what was planned)? I would love to here about everything, but I can wait a few days till you are feeling more up to it. Get some rest...

I just need to get busy and get some pics taken and sent for my consult!!

Well the only part that changed since last March when I saw Dr S the last time was he offered to change it up some and make it an anchor cut in front to help remove more skin and give me a tighter look which to be honest I had been wondering about myself since I lost a little over 200 pounds.

Other than that everything went very well . And now since I have internet access at the clinic  -- I am in no here to leave !!  LOL    The nurses are really nice and very helpful even though I know NO Spanish .  I have resting pretty good but seems like the feeling is coming back a little more day by day ! The other Dr S is his wife who is the one that puts you to sleep  -- she is great !  I woke up right after the and was able to understand them almost right away .  Whatever she uses is some great stuff because for about the first 36 hours I did not feel hardly anything but was wide away --  not the doped up feling. My surgery ended at about 8 on Sat. night and I was standing and walking just in the room the next morning if that tells you anything .

Not sure what exactly you would like to hear ?  So just ask and I do my best to answer them .

And FYI  -- the better the pics and more detail you can give him  -- the better off you will be .  He is very honest and will pretty much tell you like it is.

Talk soon

Hello all!
I am new to this board. I had the Sleeve done just over a year ago. I am almost at my goal weight, since losing 98 lbs so far. I have now turned my focus onto plastic surgery. I have been following your conversations about Dr Sauceda. I am nervous about going out of the country, but if I can get done what I would like done in one or maybe two settings, then it might be worth it. I am also checking out my local residency program. I have been medically cleared for a consult, but they may not do everything I am interested in getting done. Hubby is not so sure about going to Mexico. I told him this would be the only way I would go there for a vacation.
I would like to get a lower body lift (tummytuck, butt lift and inner and outer thigh lift), a breast lift and my arms done. I have contacted Dr S's clinic and they have requested photos. I just have to get brave enough to get them taken to send to them.
I never thought I would get to this point!
I hope to hear from you about your experiences.

God Bless!

Gail

Just wanted to let you know this is my second surgery in MX .  Dr Alvarez did my sleeve on 12-10-2007. Since that date I have dropped a little over 200 pounds ! (Don't you just love your sleeve ?  LOL )

And I will tell you the care I received down here both times is nothing like in the states .  The personel care is far better !!  Picture a docture picking you up at the airport which is like a 30 - 45 minute drive from the hotel himself since he did not have a surgery that day !!  Probably would not happen in the States very often and I know he is doing it again Wed. afternoon to pick up Jess.   Monday night he stopped back by the clinic to check on me again at 10 pm even though I was not having any issues .

If you are have any questions , just let me know .

Good luck
Tony
