My thighs are horrible.  I'm 56, and I've been bottom heavy all my life, especially my thighs.  Dr. Agha says the spiral thigh lift he does with the LBL may (but he won't promise) give me good enough results that I won't feel the need to have the medial thigh lift with those horrible incision scars and risk of dihiscence and disfigurement.  He told me there would still be some laxity in my inner thighs, but I might be pleasantly suprised at how much better they will look.

I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised, though I'm not planning on it.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with me.

I think part of my problem is some guilt over how much it is going to cost us to "fix me up". I guess I will keep going and cross the flabby skin bridge when I get done.

My weight loss has slowed down a bit, so that will just give me that much more time to save up money.

All the pre/post op pics are a great help too!

Thanks!
Joanne

Hi there. I'm chiming in late to give my two cents. NEVER compromise your weight loss, even if it means you never wear a bathing suit or shorts again. Remember how bad it was to look bad in all of your clothes. It its limited to certain things, its definately the lesser of the two evils.

Anyway, I just wanted to comment on the TL. I don't have a lot of experience, but I have gone to three consults. The LBL will help with the outer thighs and the butt, and will MINIMALLY help the inner thighs, but not very much at all. The MTL, will only smooth the sagging skin at the top of  your thighs, the first place they start to sag.

If you have sagging skin all the way down the inner thigh, or you need to reduce the size of your thigh because of extra skin and fat, the best way to do it is will the full thigh lift, with the scar to the knee. I just wanted to throw that out there because a lot of people start with the MTL to avoid the big scar, but later have a revisiion to the full lift. Ask your surgeon about your specific case.

Good luck with your futur PS decisions.

Hi Joanne!

Look at before and after pictures of your procedure options. Take a look at the Spiral Thigh Lift. Instead of just pulling the thighs and making them appear to be thinner, this procedure takes care of inner/outer thighs, lifting of the buttocks, tightening of the abdomen etc..

You may want to consult a plastic surgeon regarding you stopping your weight loss.

Good luck!

My LBL helped my thighs a little, but but not enough.  They were flabbier before but the LBL helped the front of the thighs moreso than the inner thighs. I know there are a handful of people who didn't have terrible inner thighs and were pleased enough after their LBL to not need the actual thigh lift.  I wasn't one of those lucky ones unfortunately!
