Drains out...feeling great
Had Brach. (arms) and Panni. (stomach) on September 7. Went in for regular consult yesterday and got rid of final drain! Yeah! Arms and stomach are doing great and I am on my way to full recovery! Have nothing but great kudos for my Dr. (Dr. Kenneth Bermudez, SF CA) and his work!
Still swollen, but making great progress. 13 lbs of yuck gone!
My advice to those considering any PS....Make sure you have time to recover ( I had to go back too soon...could have really used the extra down time!) Have someone to help you....(My husband was a gem, you cannot wrap both your arms yourself..trust me on this!) A positive attitude....(You will need this...pain pills and the like can play with your emotions!) and a Doctor you trust and respect.
Amazing to have a flat stomach and to lose my batwings! I am super happy!
Thanks for all the supportive remarks and the advice and info I got on this board.
My best to all of you where ever you are on your journey!

Congrats on your surgery and being happy with the results.
Hello-
The good news is that he does accept insurance. Mine did not pay for everything and I felt his rates were reasonable. He was the first plastic surgeon I met who talked more about what I needed than the costs. I also did not feel pushed to do more or was not sold anything else.
I would do a consult and get the information directly.
He has a website at www.plasticsurgery-sf.com. He links to a blog on there I think.
The greatest thing about Dr. Bermudez is that he is really easy to talk to and has exceeded every expectation for me. Someone IM'ed me and asked if I worked for him! LOL I do not. I found him from a referral from a past patient, checked him out before I made an appointment, checked him out more after I met him. I am a very cautious patient. It took me a year to select my RNY surgeon! LOL
So good luck!
