Maybe TMI,, Breat sizes
OKay so after reading today it is the first time I have heard or read that some of you are unhappy with the size you went on your implants which is making me really nervous.....
I have several firends that have had implants and they have ALL strongly advised me to go bigger than you think... That after the swelling blah blah you will be happier you did.
Not sure what size to go... I am currently a C (that is (here comes the TMI) when I roll them up like a pair of socks and shove them in that bra. but serviously I don't want to be really big and fake looking I want to be natural and just a little larger and fuller than I am now. I am having a lift and implants on Nov. 3rd. I go on Monday for all my pre op stuff and that is when I will be trying on different size implants and telling them which ones I want.
So I need some help here... when you try them on is it a true look as to how they will look once implanted or do they look larger once in. Any advice you veterans can give I would love to hear as my time is running out and I need to decide on a size.
Thanks SO Much
Mo

My surgeon decided on my implants size (I know that's not the way it's usually done) and I'm glad he did. When I asked him what size implants I should get he advised that he want me to have the best size for my frame.
I requested a copy of my medical records and they arrived in the mail yesterday. It stated my surgeon started out with preparing me for 350cc for right breast and 400 cc for the left, but then he decided to go with 450cc in both breast.
I was 36DD (all skin) before my implants 8 weeks ago and now I am 36DD with implants and I love my new breasts.

My PS did alot of measurements and told me based on them and what my current size (rolled up) was that he felt somewere between 300cc and 350cc would work best for me. He took 3 sizes into the operating suite because some of it was determined by how much of my own breast tissue would remain. I ended up with the 300cc silicone implants. Before surgery I was a 38D or DD depending on the bra. After I was a 38D to a 40C.

I have 2 friends whose surgeons talked them into going larger than they wanted and they both regret it. niether were WLS patients so it may be different and both had smaller sized breasts A and B, ended up with D's and both feel they are too large.
At a normal weight I've always been a C cup, overweight a D or DD cup. Right now I'm back to a C but have lost some volume at the top of my breasts. I'd love to have additional volume and am looking into breast augmentation for that but I would LOVE to remain a C cup just perkier. I feel bigger boobs make me look fat. C is perfect in my book. However the last time I was this weight (or close) I had a consult and the Doc told me that I'd end up with a D if I wanted to go for an augmentation. This would be without a lift which I'd like to avoid. So since I've never had kids and my breasts aren't really bad so I may just stay as is. I definetly need a push up bra but I'm not sure I want D's again, but then again.... I don't know.
I do think if you tell your doc you want the smallest possible for the best result he should know what to do. Good luck I look forward to hearing how things go. No matter what you'll be beautiful!

Hi, my doctor recommended 300 CC's based on what size I wanted which was a C cup.
When I tried the implants on inside my bra I was really nervous as they looked too... big.
I also tried on the blouses I still wanted to wear after the implant was in place. I tried them on to make sure there were no gaps at the chest. I am a petite person and didn't want to move up a size in blouses for my breasts and then have the blouses not fit in my shoulders and waist.
So after trying them on, he said they would not look that big as the implant would be placed under the muscle. After the surgery, I came out almost just right. At first I was a little bigger then I thought I would be, but no where near what it looked like when I just tried them on. But after they dropped into place (about 6 weeks) I feel I am very porportional to my body. I ended up with a size C to a D depending on the bra.
So, in the end, my surgeon knew what would work for what I wanted and what would match my body type. However, the key is to make sure your surgeon understands/listens to what you want to achieve! Even if bigger may "look" better to them, maybe you are an athlete who doesn't want to much bounce or whatever the reason is, whatever you want should be the predictor not what the surgeon wants.
speedy recovery on your upcoming transformation!

I know exactly what you mean! My surgery is also Nov. 3rd & I have been thinking obsessively about this the past 3 days. The responses you got were very helpful, and I now have a better idea about how to acheive my desired results. So thanks for posting this & good luck with your surgery...

I had my breast augmentation done about 6 weeks ago. I did "try on" sizes at the office and gave my surgeon guidelines on the look that I wanted. I went from skin flaps with nipples to a C cup. He used 300cc gel implants (the largest size that I told him I would accept) and we decided together that over the muscle was best for me to fill in the flaps of skin. I am very happy with my results and am glad that I didn't go any bigger!! Some will tell you to go bigger, I didn't want bigger!!!
Good luck to you!!
