My third day post tummy tuck - pic & question!

hi...you look great! i had my consult last week and will be scheduling tt for after thanksgiving.
i was wondering what pain meds they gave you? i here the pain is real bad from others and you seem to be doing great. thats awesome. i hope im as lucky.

Hey there!!  Tonight will be 4 days since surgery.  Still feeling good.  They gave me oxycodone and I took one every four hours for the first two days, but now I can go longer without anything.  I took one last night because being up and moving around was making me hurt some and getting cranky, so far I took one at 6:30 AM today.  Hoping to be completely off over the next couple days.

I'm thinking both drains will definitely be able to come out on Wednesday.  One has consistently been putting out less than 10ccs in a 24-hr period, and other has slowed to 35 cc in 24 hours.  Hardly any pinkish-red color, mostly an amber color with a few red flecks and some long, stringly weird looking things!

I plan on posting updated 1-week pics next Wednesday evening after I see the surgeons and hopefully the swelling's gone down more.  I'm faithfully taking my Bromelain and Arnica Montana to help with the bruising and welling.  Actually I don't even have any bruises - strange since they tugged and pulled so much.

what is bromelain and arnica? did your surgeon reccomend that or how did you find out about it?

The bromelain and arnica montana are supplements I read here on previous posts to help with the bruising and swelling after surgery.  Bromelain is a pineapple extract, I don't know what arnica montana is.  The other posters said to get arnica montana 30c, so I did.  The bottle says to take 5 at a time and let them dissolve in your mouth.  I was thinking, okay this is going to be gross, but they taste like candy to me, so I can do it.  Use the Search feature and search for them and you'll find other posters talk about them that might have more info for you.  I got mine at super supplements, but you can also get them at other vitamin type stores or health stores.

Sweet!!  Lizzy you look great!  I swear your a champ I am over 3 weeks out now and am still in pain at the end of the day. Your drains are doing what they should, one of mine was really gross, it was putting  dark red/purple fluid, Dr said it was a blood clot that was breaking up.  I had almost no bruising either.
We need to get togther and compare scars soon, LOL!
